Course Description: ​​​​​​​This course provides students with an appreciation for the wide range of professional career paths one may pursue with a degree in landscape architecture and investigates the fundamental skills, legal environments, emergent trends, and ethical responsibilities inherent to the contemporary professional practice of landscape architecture. The course engages a wide range of landscape-related professionals in order to better understand contemporary trends, pressures, and practices.

Assignment Description: This assignment encourages students to think about their future goals and aspirations related to critical goals, career goals, places the students would like to visit, creativity goals, personal goals, and interpersonal goals. Each student was tasked with writing down their goals before dividing them into these categories and creating a loose timeline on the time period needed to achieve their individual goals while thinking about how to make them a reality. 
Assignment Description: This assignment featured students researching and synthesizing information on an assigned design firm. As a class, a collection of firm case studies that can be used as a career development resource for future students was created with each case study forming a chapter of the collection. A specific format was provided for each of the students' work. ​​​​​​​
Assignment Description: This assignment asks students to think about the questions who are you, and what do you aim to do with the life you've been given? This assignment compels students to carve out the time and space needed to grapple with these existential questions. Taking inspiration from the assignment presto manifesto, students created a personal practice profile including a personal statement, vignettes, role models, and inspirational projects.
